  • What is Weekdays with Bernie?
    At BerniePortal’s 7th annual HR conference, Weekdays with Bernie 2024, HR leaders and thinkers will convene to receive first-class access to strategic, solution-oriented sessions, as well as the opportunity to network with other industry professionals.
  • Who should attend?
    The event, which will be held in person in Nashville, TN, is for HR professionals who want to build a better place to work by increasing their knowledge and developing strategic, intentional processes to navigate the changing world of work. Additionally, broker agencies seeking to protect and grow their BOR with forward-thinking strategies, developed by industry-leading experts, should attend. Attendees will also be able to earn SHRM and HRCI credits.
  • Can attendees earn continuing education (CE) credits for attending?
    Yes! Weekdays with Bernie is approved for SHRM and HRCI continuing education credits.
  • What is the investment to attend Weekdays with Bernie?
    The early-bird special, available for a limited time, is $695 for one in-person event ticket. Pre-conference broker training tickets, which allow access to Day 1 broker training and also the rest of the conference, are $750. For sponsor pricing, please contact Aidan Farrish at
  • Is transportation available?
    The Hilton Downtown Nashville is located at 121 4th Ave. S., Nashville, TN, 37201. From the airport, the hotel recommends a taxi or ride-share service. Attendees with a large group may benefit from a shuttle service. The Hilton Downtown Nashville offers paid parking, with rates charging $10 for the first hour, $20 for 1-2 hours, $30 for 2-3 hours, and $35 daily max for 3-24 hours.   • What should I bring?
    We recommend bringing a laptop. Networking materials may also come in handy!
  • What is the dress code?
    Business casual—jeans are OK!
  • What meals will be provided?
    Breakfast and lunch are provided by Weekdays with Bernie 2023 for in-person attendees.
  • Will there be BerniePortal broker training? (Brokers Only)
    Yes, there will be broker training for in-person attendees only on Day 1 of the conference (April 8th).
  • Who should attend BerniePortal training from my team? (Brokers Only)
    Anyone from your team who works with BerniePortal should attend training. There are benefits for everyone: Principals and brokers can learn how other benefits agencies are leveraging BerniePortal with their clients and prospects. Stay up to date on the most recent enhancements to BerniePortal, and understand how to maximize employers’ use of BerniePortal as an all-in-one HRIS solution. Service team members can learn how you can provide employer groups the best experience with BerniePortal, from renewal to using BerniePortal as an HRIS solution throughout the year. Discuss with peers how BerniePortal can help you handle complex or challenging benefits renewal situations.
  • I have someone new on my team who needs to know the ins and outs of BerniePortal. Should they attend this training? (Brokers Only)
    Yes, we strongly recommend that anyone new on your team attends BerniePortal training. BerniePortal training is a great way for new team members to develop relationships with similar professionals at other benefits agencies to learn best practices when using BerniePortal.
  • I’ve attended BerniePortal training before. Should I attend it again? (Brokers Only)
    Absolutely! We are constantly improving both the product and how we support it, so attendees who have been through training before will still get value from these sessions.
  • Do I have to attend the breakout sessions listed on the training schedule if I attend BerniePortal training? (Brokers Only)
    No. However, we have preselected sessions to complement the topics covered during training. We encourage you to consider attending the pre-selected sessions; especially if you are new to BerniePortal.
